abstract = "The work it was developed in the company DECORACIONES DAVID'S S.A.S. where a diagnosis was made and some opportunities for improvement were identified in the Management of their production for the proper management of inventories, scheduling of purchases and monitoring of the product in the process delivered to a satellite company.

Once the diagnosis was made, the information obtained in the company was analyzed, an ABC analysis, cyclical counting, economic order quantity (EOQ) and reorder point were made to accurately identify the impact of the problem. Finally, with a tool designed in Excel with the help of Visual Basic, which looks meet the needs in a transversal way in the areas of strategic processes, mission and support, in order to make the improvement of the production management of the company. The tool allows to have updated information and in real time, the cost and quantities of raw material existing or consumed in different periods of time to facilitate the generation of production reports by indicators.

On the other hand, the tool allows to see the amount of raw material available, when the raw materials are running out in order to carry out an adequate purchasing management, so that the production is not affected by the lack of one or several materials of the 168 that are currently handled. For of the festón control the tool allows to carry out a traceability of the paper in the stages of purchase of coil, painting, cutting, gluing, die cutting and packaging, in order to carry out to strict monitoring of the product that is delivered to suppliers who perform the external tasks to the company.",
